SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (405), 
FOREST (447), MERIDIAN (270), MACON (107), HOUSTON (103), 
WEST POINT (568), AND GRENADA (-) ON Mon Jan 21, 2019.

Receipts:     1,900          Last Week:      3,550        Year:    3,122

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers mostly steady few to 8.00 higher 
and heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 48 percent 
steers and 52 percent heifers, with an estimated 16 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
