SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,191), 
FOREST (1,633), MERIDIAN (475), MACON (515), HOUSTON (321), 
WEST POINT (605), AND GRENADA (137) ON Mon Aug 13, 2018.

Receipts:     4,877          Last Week:     4,111        Year:    3,959

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 lower 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 10 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 63 percent 
steers and 37 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
