SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,169), 
FOREST (801), MERIDIAN (242), MACON (436), HOUSTON (129), 
WEST POINT (288), AND GRENADA (149) ON Mon Apr 9, 2018.

Receipts:     3,214           Last Week:     2,408        Year:    3,934

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 4.00 to 12.00 higher and heifers sold 
2.00 to 10.00 higher. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 17 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 57 percent 
steers and 43 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
