SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (681), 
FOREST (1,045), MERIDIAN (302), MACON (356), HOUSTON (254), 
WEST POINT (333), AND GRENADA (151) ON Mon Jan 22, 2018.

Receipts:     3,122           Last Week:      2,530        Year:    1,977

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher 
and heifers sold 2.00 to 7.00 higher. 
The supply included 8 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 55 percent 
steers and 45 percent heifers, with an estimated 11 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
