SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,035), 
FOREST (1,236), MERIDIAN (391), MACON (477), HOUSTON (192), 
WEST POINT (221), AND GRENADA (145) ON Mon Aug 21, 2017.

Receipts:     3,697           Last Week:     3,959        Year:    3,563

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower and 
bulls sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 9.00 lower 
and heifers sold steady to 2.00 lower. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 7 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent 
steers and 41 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
