SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,040), 
FOREST (1,225), MERIDIAN (512), MACON (309), HOUSTON (354), 
WEST POINT (374), AND GRENADA (246) ON Mon Jul 31, 2017.

Receipts:     4,060           Last Week:     3,425        Year:    3,326

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher and 
bulls sold steady. Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 13 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 58 percent 
steers and 42 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
