SUMMARY OF 4 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (501), 
WINONA (162), PHILADELPHIA (433), and BROOKHAVEN (191) ON 
Tues May 23, 2017

Receipts:       1,287         Last Week:      1,843        Last Year:    1,880

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher and heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 17 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 55 percent steers and 45 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 14 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
