SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (951), 
FOREST (1,117), MERIDIAN (167), MACON (590), HOUSTON (318), 
WEST POINT (657), AND GRENADA (134) ON Mon April 10, 2017.

Receipts:     3,934           Last Week:      2,664        Year:      3,211

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold steady and 
bulls sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 8.00 higher and 
heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 56 percent 
steers and 44 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
