SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,123), 
FOREST (698), MERIDIAN (96), MACON (309), HOUSTON (264), 
WEST POINT (296), AND GRENADA (169) ON Mon March 27, 2017.

Receipts:     2,955           Last Week:      3,716        Year:      2,724

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower and 
bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher and heifers 
sold steady. 
The supply included 11 percent slaughter cows and 17 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent 
steers and 41 percent heifers, with an estimated 10 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
