SUMMARY OF 4 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (570), 
WINONA (408), PHILADELPHIA (265), and BROOKHAVEN (148) ON 
Tues February 21, 2017

Receipts:       1,391         Last Week:      1,242        Last Year:    712

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher 
and bulls sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold 
1.00 to 2.00 higher. 
The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows and 14 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers and 41 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 10 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
