SUMMARY OF 4 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (680), 
WINONA (214), PHILADELPHIA (312), and BROOKHAVEN (229) ON 
Tues January 31, 2017

Receipts:       1,435         Last Week:       912        Last Year:    1,203

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher 
and bulls sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold 
1.00 to 2.00 lower. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 9 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 58 percent steers and 42 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
