SUMMARY OF 8 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (754), 
FOREST (409), MERIDIAN (118), MACON (179), HOUSTON (-), 
WEST POINT (103), GRENADA (165) AND CATTLEMENS (249) ON Mon January 23, 2017.

Receipts:     1,977           Last Week:      5,649        Year:      2,573

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher 
and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 7 percent slaughter cows and 13 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 56 percent 
steers and 44 percent heifers, with an estimated 13 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
