SUMMARY OF 8 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,258), 
FOREST (1,184), MERIDIAN (147), MACON (687), HOUSTON (295), 
WEST POINT (170), GRENADA (255) AND CATTLEMENS (318) ON Mon December 12, 2016.

Receipts:     4,314           Last Week:     3,330       Year:   2,472

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 8.00 higher
and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 55 percent 
steers and 45 percent heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
