SUMMARY OF 8 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (873), 
FOREST (1,206), MERIDIAN (189), MACON (417), HOUSTON (409), 
WEST POINT (181), GRENADA (141) AND CATTLEMENS (309) ON Mon September 26, 2016.

Receipts:     3,725           Last Week:    4,273       Last Year:   3,880

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 4.00 lower 
and bull sold steady. Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower 
and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 62 percent 
steers and 38 percent heifers, with an estimated 13 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
