SUMMARY OF 8 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,1128), 
FOREST (1,218), MERIDIAN (180), MACON (431), HOUSTON (-), 
WEST POINT (172), GRENADA (201) AND CATTLEMENS (233) ON Mon August 22, 2016.

Receipts:     3,563           Last Week:    3,966       Last Year:   4,210

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold steady to 8.00 lower 
and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 10 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 63 percent 
steers and 37 percent heifers, with an estimated 10 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
