SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,043), 
FOREST (984), MERIDIAN (305), MACON (739), HOUSTON (215), 
WEST POINT (124) AND GRENADA (175) ON Mon May 16, 2016.

Receipts:     3,585           Last Week:     2,856       Last Year:  3,014

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 63 percent 
steers and 37 percent heifers, with an estimated 14 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
