SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (916), 
FOREST (803), MERIDIAN (201), MACON (414), HOUSTON (479), 
WEST POINT (275) AND GRENADA (258) ON October 12, 2015.

Receipts:     3,346         Last Week:     3,573       Last Year:   5,008

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold steady 
and bulls sold 4.00 to 8.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 10.00 to 20.00 
higher and heifers sold 5.00 to 20.00 higher. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 63 percent 
steers and 37 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
