SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,043), 
FOREST (1,412), MERIDIAN (204), MACON (628), HOUSTON (262), 
WEST POINT (584) AND GRENADA (411) ON October 27, 2014.

Receipts:     4,544         Last Week:     5,170      Last Year:   5,476

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers steady to 5.00 higher 
and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 12 percent slaughter cows and 9 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 57 percent steers and 
43 percent heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
