SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,439), 
FOREST (1,347), MERIDIAN (485), MACON (511), HOUSTON (447), 
WEST POINT (484) AND GRENADA (257) ON September 1, 2014.

Receipts:     4,970         Last Week:     4,567      Last Year:   4,821

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold 
steady. Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 61 percent steers and 
39 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
