SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,293), 
FOREST (1,694), MERIDIAN (223), MACON (392), HOUSTON (203), 
WEST POINT (470) AND GRENADA (280) ON June 23, 2014.

Receipts:     4,555         Last Week:     4,234      Last Year:   3,716

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher 
and bulls sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher 
and heifers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. 
The supply included 12 percent slaughter cows and 18 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers and 
41 percent heifers, with an estimated 11 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
