SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,032), 
FOREST (1,663), MERIDIAN (156), MACON (953), HOUSTON (482), 
WEST POINT (530) AND GRENADA (337) ON June 2, 2014.

Receipts:     5,153         Last Week:     4,012      Last Year:   3,579

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher and 
heifers sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows and 7 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers and 
41 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
