SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,163), 
FOREST (959), MERIDIAN (108), MACON (491), HOUSTON (202), 
WEST POINT (471) AND GRENADA (242) ON May 12, 2014.

Receipts:     3,636         Last Week:     3,876      Last Year:   3,526

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 57 percent steers and 
43 percent heifers, with an estimated 15 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
