SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (863), 
FOREST (671), MERIDIAN (125), MACON (251), HOUSTON (149), 
WEST POINT (364) AND GRENADA (195) ON April 21, 2014.

Receipts:     2,618         Last Week:     3,462      Last Year:   2,544

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 61 percent steers and 
39 percent heifers, with an estimated 11 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
