SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (928), 
WINONA (44), PHILADELPHIA (323), BROOKHAVEN (179), and MIZE (93) on 
TUESDAY, February 4, 2014

Receipts:      1,567         Last Week:    378      Last Year:    1,596   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 8.00 higher 
and bulls sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 53 percent steers 
and 47 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder 
supply weighing over 600 lbs.
