SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (902), 
WINONA (249), PHILADELPHIA (475), BROOKHAVEN (359), and MIZE (80) on 
TUESDAY, January 14, 2014

Receipts:      2,065        Last Week:     930     Last Year:  750   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold steady and bulls 
sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher 
and heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. 
The supply included 12 percent slaughter cows and 10 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 52 percent steers 
and 48 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder 
supply weighing over 600 lbs.
