SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (947), 
FOREST (1,034), MERIDIAN (179), MACON (339), HOUSTON (259), 
WEST POINT (615) AND GRENADA (490) ON December 16, 2013.

Receipts:    3,863         Last Week:    2,133      Last Year:   2,467

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher 
and bulls sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher 
and heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 12 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent pairs/replacements. 
The feeder supply included 53 percent steers and 47 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
