SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,480), 
FOREST (1,424), MERIDIAN (131), MACON (690), HOUSTON (338), 
WEST POINT (642) AND GRENADA (771) ON October 28, 2013.

Receipts:    5,476         Last Week:    5,521      Last Year:   4,634

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower 
and bulls sold 3.00 to 6.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher 
and heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 8 percent pairs/replacements. 
The feeder supply included 55 percent steers and 45 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
