SUMMARY OF 1 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN LUCEDALE (927) WEDNESDAY, 
October 23, 2013
 
Receipts:     927         Last Week:     1,164      Last Year:   888

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00 
to 4.00 higher. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 15.00 higher and heifers 
sold 2.00 to 10.00 higher. 
The supply included 8 percent slaughter cows and 18 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply  included 61 percent steers and 
39 percent heifers, with an estimated 20 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
