SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,281), 
FOREST (1,790), MERIDIAN (259), MACON (679), HOUSTON (443), 
WEST POINT (570) AND GRENADA (458) ON September 16, 2013.

Receipts:    5,480         Last Week:    5,652      Last Year:   4,196

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower 
and bulls sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower 
and heifers sold 3.00 to 6.00 lower. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 7 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 56 percent steers and 44 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
