SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,210), 
FOREST (1,991), MERIDIAN (398), MACON (499), HOUSTON (412), 
WEST POINT (668) AND GRENADA (474) ON September 9, 2013.

Receipts:    5,652        Last Week:    4,821      Last Year:   4,763

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower and heifers sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower. 
The supply included 9 percent slaughter cows and 7 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 54 percent steers and 46 percent 
heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
