SUMMARY OF 1 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN LUCEDALE (1,287) WEDNESDAY, 
August 14, 2013
 
Receipts:    1,287         Last Week:     867     Last Year:   546

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady
and bulls sold 1.00 to 4.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 12.00 higher 
and heifers sold 1.00 to 8.00 higher. 
The supply included 5 percent slaughter cows and 17 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply  included 62 percent steers and 
38 percent heifers, with an estimated 14 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
