SUMMARY OF 6 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,217), 
FOREST (1,271), MERIDIAN (255), MACON (333), HOUSTON (542), 
WEST POINT (429) AND GRENADA (218) ON July 22, 2013.

Receipts:    4,265        Last Week:    4,782      Last Year:   2,811

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 8.00 higher. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 8 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers and 
41 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
