SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (607), 
WINONA (178), PHILADELPHIA (368), BROOKHAVEN (500), and MIZE (129) on 
TUESDAY, May 21, 2013

Receipts:      1,782       Last Week:     2,006     Last Year:   1,787   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold mixed 
and bulls sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Feeder steers sold 
2.00 to 4.00 lower and heifers sold 5.00 to 8.00 lower. 
The supply included 11 percent slaughter cows and 16 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers and 
49 percent heifers, with an estimated 24 percent of the feeder 
supply weighing over 600 lbs.
