SUMMARY OF 6 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (881), 
FOREST (763), MERIDIAN (143), MACON (225), HOUSTON (214) AND 
WEST POINT (576) ON May 6, 2013.

Receipts:    2,802        Last Week:     1,918      Last Year:    3,888

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers and heifers sold mixed. 
The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows and 14 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 55 percent steers and 
45 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the feeder supply 
weighing over 600 lbs.
