SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (709), 
WINONA (98), PHILADELPHIA (417), BROOKHAVEN (163), and MIZE (88) on 
TUESDAY, March 5, 2013

Receipts:      1,475       Last Week:     1,154     Last Year:   2,025   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 4.00 higher 
and bulls sold 3.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 14 percent slaughter cows and 17 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 54 percent steers and 
46 percent heifers, with an estimated 7 percent of the feeder 
supply weighing over 600 lbs.
