SUMMARY OF 6 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (935), 
FOREST (550), MERIDIAN (154), MACON (341), HOUSTON (327) AND 
WEST POINT (620) ON January 21, 2013.

Receipts:  2,927        Last Week:     2,035      Last Year:  3,191

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower 
and bulls sold 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder steers sold steady 
and heifers sold mixed.  
The supply included 11 percent slaughter cows and 7 percent pairs/replacements.  
The feeder supply included 55 percent steers and 45 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 6 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
