Monthly Sheep and Goat Report for 2/15/2013

******Sheep and goat sale is on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 am******

   Compared to last month, few feeder lambs sold 25.00 higher; slaughter
 lambs sold 30.00 higher; slaughter ewes traded steady to 3.00 higher; 
few slaughter rams sold 10.00 higher.   Slaughter billies traded 12.00 
lower, few nannies sold steady to 15.00 lower, slaughter kids sold steady, 
feeder kids sold 6.00 lower and yearlings in light supply; Demand uneven and 
supply moderate.   Sheep made up approximately 33 percent of the offering, 67 
percent goats.

   Slaughter Lambs:  Choice 1-2   45-71 lbs 195.00-205.00; fancy 50-58 
lbs 215.00-220.00; 70-80 lbs 175.00-190.00; 83-95 lbs 160.00-168.00.

   Yearling:  Choice 1-2  100-110 lbs 111.00-117.50.
	
   Feeder lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2  very few, 33-38 lbs 185.00-190.00.

   Slaughter ewes:  Utility and Good 2-3  95-255 lbs 60.00-74.00.

   Slaughter rams:  Utility and good 2-3  150-175 lbs, 60.00-70.00. 

   Replacement ewes:  Utility and good 1-2  young 82-110 lbs 135.00-170.00.
