Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 6/13/2017

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower except
400-500 lb steers trading 9.00-10.00 lower. A lighter more summer type run of
feeders offered as the average highs are consistently in the 90?s. A lot of 
fieldwork is being done in the area as wheat harvest has started, beans are getting
planted and lots of hay is being rolled up. Demand was moderate to good. The
feeder offering was made up of near 55 percent steers and bulls and 45 percent
heifers with 35 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 11 percent of the
offering. Slaughter cows sold firm.
