Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/18/2016

Receipts:  1304    Week Ago:  1210    Year Ago:  1488

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady, except
500-650 lb steers mostly 5.00-6.00 lower. Three loads of heavy
weight steers sold along with several other consignments of yearlings
allowing buyers to put loads together of similar kind. Demand was
good with a moderate supply. The feeder offering consisted of near
70 percent steers and bulls and 30 percent heifers with 65 percent
over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls totaled 22 percent of the offering.
Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower.
