Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 4/26/2016

Receipts:  2549    Week Ago:  1924    Year Ago:  2158

   Compared to last week, steers under 700 lbs sold mostly 2.00-
7.00 lower, although some instances near steady. Too few comparisons 
from last week of heavier weights. Heifers under 550 lbs traded 
3.00-10.00 lower, however the higher quality heavier weights 
had good demand and sold steady to 10.00 higher. The feeder 
offering sold mostly in bigger drafts with several load lots 
offered including many lots of long timed weaned yearlings with 
good weighing conditions. Demand was moderate to good with a 
moderate to heavy supply. Near 55 percent steers and bulls and 
45 percent heifers with 31 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls 
were 18 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold steady.
