Cattle Auction Report for 07/16/2013

Receipts:  1235    Last Week:  2191    Year Ago:  1889

   Compared to last week, feeders sold firm on a lighter test than last week.
Supply was moderate with two load lots of heifers selling.  Demand good to
very good with active trade.  Cows and bulls were 15 percent of receipts.
In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 46 percent of the run; heifers
54 percent.  Near 59 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows
traded 2.00 to 3.00 lower.
