Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 1/30/2018

   Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 2.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers
under 550 lbs firm to 4.00 higher, over 550 lbs unevenly steady. Slaughter cows
1.00-2.00 lower. Supply moderate. Near 9 percent of the offering were cows and
39 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 59
percent steers and bulls and 41 percent heifers. Several good quality cattle in
the feeder offering again this week. Slaughter cattle moved 4.00 higher to  
127.00/cwt Friday with demand seemingly eating its way slightly ahead of 
currently available fed supplies. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 192.00-205.00; 400-500 lbs
185.00-195.00; 500-600 lbs 167.00-188.00, 13 head fleshy 570 lbs 158.25; 600-
700 lbs 154.50-165.00; 700-800 lbs 143.50-157.50; 850-900 lbs 138.00. Medium 
and Large 1-2  350-400 lbs 184.50-186.00; 400-500 lbs 165.00-184.00; 500-600 lbs
157.50-173.00; 600-700 lbs 145.50-161.50; 700-750 lbs 141.50-153.50. Medium and
Large 2  13 head 735 lbs 137.50. Medium 1-2  650-700 lbs 135.00-142.00.
