Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 4/12/2016

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers under 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 
lower, over 500 lbs steady to 4.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs
5.00-10.00 lower, over 450 lbs 2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady
to 2.00 lower. Supply moderate. Near 14 percent of the offering were
cows and 27 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply
approximately 52 percent steers and bulls and 48 percent heifers. The 
feeder board and feedlot trade are currently on different paths with
futures continuing to trend lower while the beef cutout is higher with
an uptick in slaughter prices a possibility this week. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-350 lbs 201.00-213.00; 400-
500 lbs 185.00-200.00, few fleshy 180.00-182.00; 500-600 lbs 168.50-
196.00; 600-700 lbs 160.50-167.75, package thin 600 lbs 180.50, several
calves/fleshy 149.00-160.00; small package 725 lbs 159.50, several 
calves 147.50-152.50. Medium and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 192.00-202.00; 
400-500 lbs 180.00-190.00; 500-600 lbs 162.00-186.00; package fleshy
741 lbs 137.50, small package 767 lbs 138.50. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 168.50-184.00; 400-
500 lbs 160.00-172.00; 500-600 lbs 152.50-166.75, 10 head replacements
533 lbs 180.00, several fleshy 140.00-150.00; 600-700 lbs 145.50-151.75,
25 head calves 640 lbs 145.00. Medium and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 163.00-
