Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 2/23/2016
 
Receipts:  1598    Week Ago:  911    Year Ago: 721 

   Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers under 650 lbs 2.00-5.00 higher,
over 650 lbs steady. Feeder heifers 2.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows 
steady. Supply moderate. Near 9 percent of the offering were cows and 29
percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 62
percent steers and bulls and 38 percent heifers. Better cattle handling
weather and a firm market brought a good quality offering of feeders to
town. 

******Special Closed Cow Sale Friday, March 4th at 6:30 pm for Roger and Betty
Kinder consisting of 585 head of 2-7 year Sim-Angus and Angus cows with 300-
400 lb fall calves at side. Cows bred back to Sim-Angus bulls. **************
