Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/28/2015

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steer and heifers steady on a very limited
market test. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher. Supply light. Near 12 percent
of the offering was cows and 71 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 79 percent steers and bulls and 21 percent heifers. Light
offering on a hot day with the heat index dangerously high. 

**Special Cow Sale Tuesday Aug 4th at 6:30 pm with around 250 cows expected**

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  500-550 lbs 253.50-255.00; package 657 lbs
230.00; 65 head 800 lbs 207.50, small package fleshy 804 lbs 197.00; 30 head 
1020 lbs 179.75. Medium and large 1-2  265-335 lbs 286.00-302.00; 400-500 lbs 
243.50-284.00; 11 head 628 lbs 215.00; 700-750 lbs 206.00-209.50. Medium 1-2
small package 596 lbs 216.50. Small 3 Jerseys 10 head 516 lbs 138.00.  

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  400-500 lbs 230.00-239.00; small

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  485-535 lbs 220.00-238.00; 670-800 lbs
