Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/29/2014

Receipts:  1677    Last Week:  591    Year Ago:  732

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers under 450 lbs 15.00-20.00 higher, 
over 450 lbs 10.00-15.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs 2.00-6.00 higher, 
over 550 lbs 10.00-12.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00-3.00 higher. Supply 
moderate. Near 6 percent of the offering was cows and 56 percent of the feeders
were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 71 percent steers and bulls and 
29 percent heifers. Several consignments of good to outstanding cattle in town 
this week highlighted by three loads of reputation black steers weighing 700-
760 lbs. 

   Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 292.50-339.00; 400-500 lbs
274.00-300.00; 500-600 lbs 248.00-269.00; 600-700 lbs 235.00-257.35, few calves/
full 229.00-233.00; 700-800 lbs 221.50-241.50. Medium and Large 1-2  350-400 lbs
298.00-310.00; 400-500 lbs 255.00-285.00; 500-600 lbs 240.00-258.00; 600-650 lbs
237.00-252.25, 10 head calves 614 lbs 230.75. Medium and Large 2  package 
492 lbs 248.50; 13 head 635 lbs 221.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs few 257.50-261.00; 400-
500 lbs 239.00-255.00; 500-600 lbs 232.00-248.00; 600-700 lbs 217.00-232.50; 
700-750 lbs few 215.00-219.50. Medium and Large 1-2  package 379 lbs 245.00;
