Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/01/2014

Receipts:  411    Last Week:  1206    Year Ago:  0

    No price trend established on the feeders due to the light receipts. 
Slaughter cows steady. Near 15 percent of the offering was cows and 19
percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 55 percent
steers and bulls and 45 percent heifers. The market was not well tested due to
the upcoming July 4th holiday although the feeder trade in general is still full 
speed ahead with improving beef cutout values and good crop conditions 
continuing to create an extremely bullish market. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  300-400 lbs 264.00-305.00; 400-
500 lbs 245.00-279.00; 500-600 lbs 233.50-254.50; 600-700 lbs 217.50-234.50.
Large 1  package 448 lbs 257.00; 500-600 lbs 229.00-241.50. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 246.00-252.00; 400-
500 lbs 225.00-245.00; 500-600 lbs 210.00-231.00; 600-650 lbs 202.00-223.00; 
package 709 lbs 200.00. Medium and Large 2  small package 503 lbs 209.00. 
Large 1  package 573 lbs 212.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 241.00-268.00; 500-600 lbs
219.00-246.50.
