Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 6/17/2014

Receipts:  1367    Last Week:  1217    Year Ago:  1049

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers and heifers steady to 3.00
higher. Slaughter cows 2.00-4.00 higher. Supply moderate. Near 9 percent of
the offering was cows and 25 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 62 percent steers and bulls and 38 percent heifers. The
feeder market is continuing on it?s very bullish path with feedlot sales and
feeder futures making good advances since this time last week. 
 
***Special cow sale Friday June 20th at 6:30 pm with around 500 cows expected.**

   Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1  few 300-350 lbs 275.00-285.00; 400-
500 lbs 244.50-268.00, few fleshy 240.00-242.00; 500-600 lbs 239.00-266.00, 
package calves 590 lbs 233.50; 600-660 lbs 225.00-240.00; package 719 lbs
220.50, package fleshy calves 704 lbs 202.50; package 814 lbs 195.50. Medium
and Large 1-2  250-300 lbs 277.00-285.00; 300-400 lbs 256.00-277.00; 400-
500 lbs 239.00-257.00; 500-600 lbs 225.00-253.00; 600-700 lbs 216.00-238.00; 
700-800 lbs 195.50-212.00; small package 840 lbs 188.50.
