Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 6/10/2014

Receipts:  1217        Last Week: 1453         Year Ago:  1568

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 3.00-6.00 higher. Feeder heifers
under 450 lbs steady, over 450 lbs 3.00-10.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. 
Supply moderate. Near 6 percent of the offering was cows and 31 percent of the
feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 62 percent steers and 
bulls and 38 percent heifers. Bad news is hard to come by in the cattle market 
right now with the latest record breaking price surge caused by cheapening 
feed costs and very good crop conditions. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and large 1 350-400 lbs 263.00-270.50; 400-500 lbs
243.50-260.00; 500-600 lbs 226.50-251.00, package fleshy 591 lbs 222.50; 600-
700 lbs 214.50-238.50; 700-800 lbs 198.00-222.50; small package 896 lbs 175.50.
Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 232.00-240.00; 500-600 lbs 221.00-235.00; 600-
