Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/29/13

Receipts:  1773    Last Week:  1223    Year Ago:  1167

    Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 450-650 lbs 6.00-10.00 higher, other
weights steady. Feeder heifers firm to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00-
2.00 lower. Supply moderate. Near 9 percent of the offering was cows and 38
percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 57 percent
steers and bulls and 43 percent heifers. The feeder market continues to be red
hot aided by record prices for slaughter cattle last week. Lots of good quality
cattle in the yards this week. 
 
***Special Cow Sale Fri Nov 1st at 6:30 pm with around 500 head of cows and bred
heifers expected.***
